Wall Of Power – September 3, 2016
Nashville session musician extraordinaire and MN native, Mr. Russ Paul joins host Paul Metsa in the studio for the entire show. Russ talks about his early days playing in rock bands, encouraged to play the pedal steel by none other than legendary steel cat Ralph Mooney. He talks about his early days in the club scene in the Twin Cities, his move to Nashville, and working with such legends as Don Williams, Willie Nelson, Vince Gill, Elton John and Leon Russell, and then some. We played several tracks that featured Russ and chatted about life, Nashville, and surviving and prospering in the cut throat biz that is show business. If you want to hear first hand stories by one of the most sought after session men in Music City, this is the show to listen to!
