Paul Metsa interviews legendary rock and roll photographer Elliott Landy who is celebrating the release of his beautiful photo book The Band Photographs 1968-1969 (Backbeat Books.) Speaking on the phone from his longtime home in Woodstock, NY, Elliott chats with Paul about how he got into the rock and roll business, his meeting with legendary Dylan manager Albert Grossman and how this led to Landy’s exclusive access to the Band from before they had a band name to all through the making of the Basement Tapes with Bob Dylan, Music from Big Pink, and more.
