The Illegal Trans Woman
Saturdays 4-5 PM
With host Ellie Krug
I know what you are thinking: Illegal? Is she on the lam, running from the law?
The answer: Technically, no. At least not yet.
Rather, I’m a law-abiding person simply seeking to make my way in the world, wanting what everyone else craves—love, security, and peace. I just happen to be a transgender woman doing that.
The problem? With the advent of the Trump Administration and its heralding of Project 2025, there seems to be a real threat to outlaw “transgender ideology” (whatever the hell that is). I fear that in the most extreme sense, the threat may mean efforts to outlaw—as in erasing—transgender people from public life.
Certainly, that is something I completely oppose. In fact, this show is dedicated to fighting those efforts. There are a few people standing up for trans folks, for my community, and I darn well better be one of them.
What this show is also about: compassion for all humans, and especially for anyone who is considered “other,” and for those who are genuinely trying to understand what it means for someone to be transgender.
I also believe in earnestly working to bridge differences, so I’m willing to talk to anyone, including those who might be intolerant. Perhaps we can bridge what separates us. I am, and will always remain, a unifier instead of a divider.
But on the other hand, if you want to erase me and my community, my compassion ends there. You’ll instead get strident Ellie Krug—a fighter, an advocate, and one heck of a voice.
Stay tuned! Literally.

Is America at risk of erasing transgender people? Host Ellie Krug tackles this urgent question in her show, The Illegal Trans Woman, while confronting the growing threats to the LGBTQ+ community and the very existence of trans and gender variant individuals. A transgender woman herself, Ellie is a passionate advocate for her community, dedicated to fighting back against intolerance while fostering understanding and compassion for all humans. With a focus on bridging differences, Ellie invites diverse perspectives, aiming to educate and unify. However, when faced with efforts to erase her community, Ellie becomes a fierce fighter and an unrelenting voice for justice. Tune in Saturdays at 4 PM for thought-provoking conversations that challenge, empower, and inspire action for a more inclusive world. And podcast the show anytime on your favorite app!
