Hour 1 segment 1: Matt attended last weekend’s raspberry festival. Do peanuts work together with hot dogs? Republican cancel culture!!! A teenage 4-H’er’s Pennington County fair photo submission of a Trump-Pence sign on fire draws ire of local Republicans.

Hour 1 segment 2: DFL party leaders call for the resignation of state rep. John Thompson after domestic abuse allegations against him. Thompson has also faced questions about whether he lives in the St. Paul district he represents.

Hour 1 segments 3/4: We continue our conversation about Rep. Thompson. Matt explains how Thompson seems to have issues telling the truth and keeping his stories straight. Also how the media covers these types of political scandals and sometimes jumps then gun when allegations largely weren’t true (Keith Ellison from 2018 election cycle).

Hour 2 segments 1/2: Matt is joined by state Rep. Rick Hansen (52A), chair of the Environment and Natural Resources Finance and Policy committee and the agriculture and finance committee. They discuss chronic wasting disease and how that affects deer, elk, reindeer, sika deer and moose.

Hour 2 segment 3: The Star Tribune reports about the controversy of wake boats on Minnesota lakes. Also a missing man’s dismembered remains were placed in buckets and a tote bag and then dumped in Lake Superior. A Duluth man has now been charged in the case. Is there a connection between this case and the one in Minneapolis from a weeks ago that also had a dismembered body.

Hour 2 segment 4: A capitol rioter/terrorist gets eight months in prison in the first felony sentencing from the January 6 attack.
