The Matt McNeil Show – April 29, 2021

Hour 1 segment 1: The owner of The Interchange Wine & Coffee Bistro in Albert Lea, Lisa Hanson, who illegally defied Governor Tim Walz’s emergency orders, is holing a rally on Saturday with a few GOP members of the MN legislature. This while Hanson is actually a wanted fugitive.

Hour 1 segment 2: The MN COVID-19 update. And Matt’s idea to get more teens to show up at the MOA’s vaccination clinic.

Hour 1 segment 3: A brief look at sports as Aaron Rodgers wants out of Green Bay. Could this be Rodgers wanting to play on the west coast and be closer to Hollywood? Also Ottertail County apparently doesn’t want to host Governor Tim Walz at the fishing opener because of Walz’s “oppressive” government.  An update on the story in Moorhead where a white racist man vandalized a mosque.

Hour 1 segment 4: Gary in Minneapolis calls in with some thought’s on Biden’s speech last night. Matt also shares some thoughts on Biden’s speech.

Hour 2 segment 1: Roof ducks are a thing. More on the situation in Big Lake where a student made a prom proposal with a very racist statement. Matt talks about some of the issues Big Blake has with racism.

Hour 2 segment 2: Gov. Tim Walz is making a push for more police accountability, but not surprisingly the Republican controlled Senate has no interest.

Hour 2 segment 3: Meteorologist Sven Sundgaard of Bring Me the News joins to talk about how young owls grow up (and sometimes fall from trees), loons in Wisconsin falling out of the sky because their wings were freezing, when we can expect a consistent warm up in Minnesota and more!

Hour 2 segment 4: Federal prosecutors are going to indict Derek Chauvin and the other three officers that killed George Floyd on civil rights charges.
