Hour 1 segment 1: NBC News reports a A 13-year-old boy from Minnesota will soon earn his bachelor’s degree from college with a major in physics and a minor in math. MN Republicans will charge volunteers and attempt to stop anti-GOP speech at their upcoming state convention.

Hour 1 segment 2: Minnesota State Senate candidate Erin Maye Quade delivered a convention speech while in labor and having contractions.

Hour 1 segment 3: Matt is joined by Eric Bernstein – policy director for We Make Minnesota. They talk about a recent anti-tax rally at the state capitol promoted heavily by MN conservatives that had dismal attendance.

Hour 1 segment 4: Matt talks about the “lottery” mentality of Republicans when it comes to tax cuts.

Hour 2 segment 1: A ticket on Elon Musk’s spaceship costs about $50 million. Matt breaks down how much $50 million really is. The Brainerd Dispatch reports authorities arrested a 43-year-old man Easter Sunday after a road rage incident at the Baxter Walmart parking lot. Then Brett is joined by Patrick Coolican, editor in chief of the Minnesota Reformer. They discuss Governor Tim Walz’s state of the state address, a column about how to fight book bans, and MN Republicans nickle and diming people at their upcoming state convention.

Hour 2 segment 2: The Minnesota Reformer reports the chief of the St. Paul Police Department says state Rep. John Thompson, DFL-St. Paul, intervened in a traffic stop of his daughter, “attempt(ed) to intimidate and bully police officers” and “misuse(d) his official position.” Matt talks about how a troll responded to this story. Hour 2 segment 3: MN house Democrats vote to replenish the state’s unemployment fund while no Republicans voted in favor.
