SCOTUS Rules In Favor of Child Abuse, Cites “Free Speech.”

Minnesota State Rep. Leigh Finke (DFL-66A) joins us to discuss the Supreme Court’s 8-1 ruling in Chiles v Salazar. SCOTUS ruled that Colorado’s ban on Conversion Therapy violates free speech rights. Conversion therapy is considered not only child abuse due to its overwhelming negative outcomes, but its providers have been convicted of consumer fraud. They’ve asked lower courts to review the case based on the “free speech” legal principle. For now, the ban remains on the books until the lower court makes a ruling. Please note: internationally, organizations like the United Nations, have found some conversion therapy practices are tantamount to child torture.
