RECkoning With Real Estate – Ep. 45: The “REC” Revolution Pt 1
Hello all, and welcome to today’s topic: The REC Revolution. A fitting topic in the wake of Bastille Day. We are excited to highlight an article written by Wendy Gilch that resonates with REC and all we do. It’s called “Why Consumers Hate Agents.” The article outlines six reasons consumers have grown frustrated with the real estate industry, and this episode kicks off a three-part series where we explore the article and branch into the bigger conversations it sparks. As you may know, at REC, we like to ask questions. If you’re an agent, this episode is an invitation to take a hard look at the system we’re all working within. We talk about the influence of NAR and state and local associations, how parts of the system are designed to benefit some people more than others (love that for us…), why they create unnecessary uncertainty, and some industry statistics that don’t make sense. The biggest question of all: if nearly everything else has changed over the last 30–40 years, why hasn’t real estate? Learn more at therecollab.com
