Today’s hosts are Robert Pilot, Wendy Pilot and Ogimaa Giniw Ikwe. Ogimaa has our news today. She talks about the possible rerouting of Line 5 in Wisconsin as well as the Wisconsin DNR holding an online hearing next month to gather comments on Line 5. Next we’re joined by Antonia Gonzales of National Native News as she speaks with Rhonda LeValdo of Not in Our Honor about trying to change the nickname of the Kansas City NFL team as well as some of their anti-Native American stadium traditions. They also talk about efforts to end anti-Native American mascot traditions with other college and pro sports teams. In our sacred animals segment Wendy talks about a bald eagle that was unable to fly being found in Missouri. Lead was later found in the bird’s blood.
