Native Roots Radio Presents I’m Awake – August 4, 2021

In our news segment Ogimaa updates us on Line 3 news including police harassment of water protectors. In segment 2 we hear from Winona Laduke, who is reporting from the Wadena County Jail after being arrested for protesting Line 3. In segment 3 we are joined by Bob Blake who brings us the solar news from Solar Bear. He talks about Congress working on a bill called the “raise the roof act” which would make it easier for people to adapt their roofs to be solar ready.He also talks about Biden’s clean energy standard that will be in the upcoming infrastructure bill. In our sacred animals segment Wendy updates us on a story she talked about a few weeks ago with wild horses being inhumanely rounded up in Utah by the Bureau of Land Management.
