First Unitarian Society of Minneapolis

The First Unitarian Society of Minneapolis is not a church, but a congregation — a gathering place for people of many religious and philosophical traditions. Since its founding in the late 1800s, FUS has embraced humanism, moving beyond worship and scripture to focus on ideas, literature, current events, and the shared search for meaning.

Today, FUS continues this humanist legacy as an inclusive community where people come together for companionship, mutual support, and social action. It is a place to belong, connect, and make a difference — rooted in curiosity, compassion, and the values of a beloved community.
