Minnesota Responds To Trump’s Invasive Surveillance Investigations

We sit down with Unidos Minnesota Executive Director Emilia González Avalos to discuss Trump’s investigation and surveillance of community organizations and labor groups who resisted Operation Metro Surge. Unidos MN was one of the targeted organizations. They are planning a press event for Tuesday August 17 to “Target, 3M, Delta, Best Buy, and other major Minnesota companies to publicly reject political surveillance and retaliation, use their influence to demand transparency and accountability, and stand with Minnesotans’ constitutional right to organize.”

Then, we’re joined by Aaron Terr who is the Director of Public Advocacy at the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, or FIRE, a nonpartisan nonprofit that defends free speech.
