Wall Of Power Radio Hour – January 30, 2016

Paul Metsa interviews one of the Twin Cities first call drummers. Bobby Vandell talks about his childhood in St. Cloud, MN, his first gigs, his love of hockey, and his career that has seen him with Mambo’s Combo for years at Bunkers Bar, playing with Bonnie Raitt and Chuck Berry, to playing Wembley Stadium with Alexander O’Neil, and his time in Los Angeles during the height of the riots in 1992. Bobby was also the drummer that laid down the original drum track (that was looped) for the worldwide smash “Funkytown!”
