The Matt McNeil Show
Matt McNeil is a proud Minnesotan, on live weekdays from 3pm to 4pm. Matt has been living most of his life in the state of his birth. He's a husband, a father of three, a veteran, and a broadcaster. He's worked in radio for over 25 years, starting with Armed Forces Radio in Nuremberg, Germany. He currently lives in Hopkins.
On his show Matt talks politics from a Democrat/Progressive perspective, but he'll also venture into parenting, religion, entertainment, sports, gardening, business, cooking, and many other subjects. He interviews politicians, political insiders, authors, pundits, entertainers, and artists, and loves talking to the listeners.
Besides being on air, you can read his thoughts at the 'Progressive Citizen X' blog.
Yesterday Matt received a membership in his name to the NRA. Today Matt talks about plans with the membership. Suspicious behavior from Mary Franzon. Is she leaving facebook comments as a setup? Eric Paulson doesn’t understand the definition of town-hall. We listen to a voicemail of his new telephone town-hall.
Matt is now an official member of the NRA (some knucklehead bought him a membership). Also Cliff Schecter joins in to talk about the #MarchForOurLives rally.
Matt takes your calls and shares his thoughts on the impending and stupid Trump trade war as well as the March for Our Lives events.
On today’s show: Republicans aren’t Nazis, but they seem to be #1 with Nazis. Also Matt’s outdoors corner and Jeff Stein chimes in on Trump and national politics.
Matt talks about “Vote them out” chants as House committee shutdown after lawmakers vote against considering gun safety bills. Also recent school shootings and the skyrocketing rates of disaster.
Why were there so many drunk driving arrests this weekend? Why the Republican proposal to arm schools is a dumb idea. Also Michael Brodkorb on the Sandra Grazzini-Rucki case.
Dermot Flanagan joins Matt from Ireland to talk St Patrick’s Day.
A new cell phone identity theft scheme is making the rounds in the Twin Cities. And Republicans don’t like free speech and the school walk outs today. Then Jeff Stein talks national politics with Matt including the PA-18 special election and the Rex Tillerson firing.
